If a soul sin through ignorance against any of the Lord's commandments;

  1. Bring a female goat or lamb without defect
  2. Lay hand on head and slaughter by the alter
  3. The priest, with finger, puts blood on alter horns
  4. The rest is poured out at the base of the alter
  5. The fat, choicest part, is burned as a sweet savior to the Lord
  6. Priest makes atonement and sins are forgiven

If a soul hears voice of swearing but remains a silent witness
If a soul touches anything unclean; beast, carcass or man
If a soul swears to do good or evil with an oath

  1. Confess his sins
  2. Bring female goat or lamb without blemish
  3. If poor, he may bring 2 doves or 2 pigeons
  4. Priest will wring neck, unsevered from body
  5. Some blood sprinkled outside, rest poured at base
  6. Second offered as a burnt offering
  7. Priest makes atonement and sins are forgiven
  8. If destitute poverty, bring 10th ephah of fine flour
  9. Priest offers handful as burnt offering
  10. Remainder belongs to the priest

If a soul sin ignorantly against the Lord's holy things

  1. Bring a ram without blemish and its value in silver
  2. This plus a 5th part to the priest who makes atonement
  3. The priest will offer the ram and his sins are forgiven

If a soul ignorantly does what is forbidden

  1. Even though he does not know it, he is guilty

If a soul sin by deceiving his neighbor; stealing, cheating, lying

  1. He must make restitution plus 5th part in full
  2. Bring a ram from his flock to be a burnt offering
  3. The priest makes atonement and his sins are forgiven

The burnt offering is to remain on the alter throughout the night. The fire must be kept burning. The priest shall then put on his linen garments and the linen undergarments and shall remove the ashes of the burnt offering to the side of the alter. Then he is to change his garments to and then carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean. The fire on the alter must not go out. (Leviticus 4, 5, 6)

Now we know that God heareth not sinners but if any man be a worshipper of God and doeth His will, him He heareth. (John 9:31)
