Marks of a Good Bible Class Teacher

by Gene Taylor

  1. A good teacher worships. He attends all services both on the Lord's day and midweek.
  2. A good teacher prepares for teaching. He attends teachers' meetings, gets plenty of rest Saturday night (if teaching Sunday morning) and sees that the classroom is in readiness.
  3. A good teacher is punctual and dependable. He notifies the responsible party in case of absence. He never lets the class down.
  4. A good teacher sets a good example. He lives consistently. He shuns evil. He refuses to compromise. A good teacher visits. He contacts absentees, new pupils and prospects personally.
  5. A good teacher maintains good order in his classroom at all times. He exercises discipline when necessary.
  6. A good teacher uses the Bible for lessons, study, and teaching on every occasion.
